ABOUT GOODR

We create and sell active eyewear for anyone. No Slip. No Bounce. All Polarized. All Fun. Interested in joining our team? Keep reading.

OUR VALUES: We have two core values: Fun & Authenticity.

• FUN = Being sh*tty isn’t fun. Agreed? Taking pride in your work, finding joy in being GREAT, and celebrating wins… and losses. Now, that’s fun!
• AUTHENTICITY = Focusing on being authentic over being liked. (Next-level guru stuff. Count it.)

Fun Fact: We do not allow email to be sent internally. Carrier pigeons only. JK, we use Slack.

LEADERSHIP: We expect our leaders to be guiding lights for their teams. To support that, we provide leadership courses to sharpen their leadership abilities, including an in-house leadership coach.

AUTONOMY: We practice autonomy, empowerment, and accountability so that every team member can be in control of their own life.

• HYBRID WORKING: This role is required to be in our Inglewood office every Tuesday and Thursday with the occasional third day thrown in.
• PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: We have an all-company learning program so that we’re constantly leveling up our skills.

SUSTAINABILITY: We think Earth’s pretty rad. That’s why we take action wherever possible to limit our impact on the planet.

• 1% FOR THE PLANET MEMBER: 1% of goodr’s annual sales go directly to environmental organizations.
• CARBON NEUTRAL: In 2019, goodr became a 100% carbon neutral company.

Fun Fact: goodr celebrates every Earth Day by releasing limited-edition sunglasses with frames made from 100% recycled materials—and the packaging is 100% sustainable, too!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Let’s be honest: People Operations at a growing company can be wild, but you’re the type of leader who thrives in the mix. As Director of People Operations & Experience, reporting directly to the SVP of People, you’ll serve as the strategic backbone of our department—owning the engine that keeps our entire employee experience seamless, compliant, and scalable.

Every great organization needs a brilliant architect behind the scenes to make that happen. That’s where you come in. You’ll elevate our People Operations systems, strengthen our policies and practices, and help build a workplace experience that supports our people as we grow. You’ll lead and develop our People Operations and Workplace & Experience teams, bringing clarity, accountability, and operational excellence across both teams. If you love simplifying complexity, developing great teams, and turning ambitious ideas into scalable solutions, this is your stage.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leverage workforce reporting to evaluate organizational health, drive retention, and inform executive decision-making
• Lead operational workforce planning and organizational analysis in partnership with Finance and People Operations Partners
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex employee relations, policy development and interpretation, and workplace risk mitigation, involving the SVP for significant risk or executive matters
• Set priorities and drive execution across both teams, aligning operational roadmaps and key initiatives with broader company strategic objectives
• Lead the Workplace & Experience team, providing direction, coaching, and accountability for workplace operations, facilities management, employee experience programs, and company-wide events
• Establish operating standards, resource plans, budgets, and performance measures across both People Operations and Workplace & Experience
• This role is in the People Herd and will report directly to the SVP of People
• Perform other related duties as assigned
