Licensed Mental Health Therapist — Bilingual English/Spanish Strongly Preferred

📍 Remote | Maryland License Required | Part-Time or Full-Time | 💰 Monthly Bonus Potential

💜 Your Language Can Change the Way a Family Experiences Care.

Many of the families we serve want therapy in Spanish. We need clinicians who can meet them there.

At Backpack Healthcare, we're making behavioral healthcare more accessible for children, teens, young adults, and their families. Our care is delivered virtually, covered by most insurance, and grounded in the belief that families deserve care that reflects who they are, how they communicate, and what they value.

As a clinician-led, minority-owned organization, we're growing — and we're looking for therapists who understand that culturally responsive care isn't a bonus feature. It's essential.

If you speak English and Spanish and want your language skills to make a real difference in the lives of families, we want to meet you.

🎒 The Role

Choose the schedule that works best for you — part-time or full-time — while building a meaningful caseload of 15–36 sessions per week.

You'll provide individual, family, and group therapy through telehealth, with the flexibility to create a schedule that works for your life.

Most clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings, typically 2–9 PM. Weekend availability is a plus.

You'll:

• 🧠 Conduct clinical intakes and assessments
• 📝 Develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
• 💻 Provide individual, family, and group therapy via telehealth
• 🤝 Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of our interdisciplinary team
• 👨 👩 👧 👦 Support parents and caregivers through education and care coordination
• 📋 Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EHR
• 🌎 Provide culturally responsive care that considers each family's language, culture, and unique needs

💰 Compensation + Monthly Bonus Potential

We believe great clinicians deserve to be fairly compensated and recognized for the work they do.

• 💵 $45–$65 per billable hour, based on license level
• 🎯 Monthly bonus potential for eligible clinicians based on applicable productivity and performance criteria
• 🏥 Medical, dental, and vision for eligible full-time employees
• 💵 401(k) with 3% company match
• 🌴 Paid time off
• 📚 $300 annual CEU reimbursement
• 🎓 Free clinical supervision for eligible LMSW/LPC roles
• ❤️ $25,000 company-paid life insurance
• 🌱 Employee Assistance Program
• 🚀 Clinical leadership opportunities, including our Residency & Fellowship Program

⭐ Earn More While Making an Impact

Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn an additional monthly performance-based bonus on top of their regular billable compensation.

Bonus eligibility is based on applicable productivity and performance expectations, giving you another opportunity to increase your earnings while being recognized for consistently providing high-quality care.

🔎 What We're Looking For

We're looking for clinicians who bring strong clinical skills, cultural humility, and a genuine commitment to children and families.

Required:

• Active Maryland license: LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LMFT, or LCSW-C
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice

Strongly Preferred:

Bilingual English/Spanish clinicians

This isn't simply a "nice-to-have." We're intentionally growing our ability to provide high-quality care in Spanish and want clinicians who can help families feel understood from the very first conversation.

💜 Why Backpack Healthcare?

Since 2020, we've served 12,000+ children and families through accessible behavioral healthcare.

78% of families report that their child is doing better after three months of care.

We're proud of that number — but we know the numbers only tell part of the story.

Behind every outcome is a clinician who listened. A parent who felt supported. A child who finally felt understood.

That's the work we're building around.

At Backpack, you won't just be another provider on a roster. You'll be part of a growing clinical community with opportunities to learn, collaborate, mentor, and grow into leadership.

🎒 When clinicians thrive, kids thrive.

That's not a tagline. It's how we build.
