About Orchard

Orchard is transforming the way people buy and sell their homes. Simplifying it, to the way it should have always been; fair and true to market, straightforward, easy. Every year in the U.S., $1.5 trillion of single family homes transact, generating over $120 billion of fees in a process that has changed little in decades. For the average American, the home purchase and sale process takes months, creates anxiety and is filled with uncertainty and hassle. Orchard offers a modern alternative, making one of life's biggest decisions -- the sale and purchase of a home –so stress free, fair and simple that people cannot imagine any other way. Orchard is headquartered in New York City, has 150+ employees, a network of 600 agents and has grown nearly 2x year over the last 2 years. We have raised equity financing from top tier investors including: Firstmark, Accomplice, Revolution Growth, Navitas and Juxtapose.

About the Role

Orchard is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead our finance organization through the next chapter of profitable growth. As CFO, you'll be a critical member of the leadership team and operating thought partner to CEO Court Cunningham, managing our FP&A, Strategic Finance, and Accounting teams to drive commercially savvy business insight, disciplined budgeting, and accurate forecasting. • Build and sustain a culture of financial discipline that supports both high growth and profitability
• Foster a culture of intelligent, calculated risk-taking across the organization

• Lead the company's path toward profitable, sustainable growth.

We'd Love to Hear From You if You Have:

• Systems thinking, with the ability to lead teams through a combination of personal leadership and process discipline
• An investor's mindset — able to zoom out to the bigger picture and zoom into granular detail, all through a financial lens
• An entrepreneurial approach — high energy, action-oriented, and effective in scrappy, fast-moving environments
• Strong customer focus and empathy, plus intellectual curiosity and comfort making decisions under uncertainty
• M&A experience (a plus, not required)
• A reputation as a passionate leader and strong communicator who gets things done
