The Role
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Junior Accountant supports the company’s day-to-day financial and administrative operations, with a focus on accurate, timely accounts payable processing. You’ll be a key point of contact for suppliers and internal teams, helping ensure every bill is paid correctly and on time.
You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Process vendor bills and employee expenses, and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to supplier calls and payment inquiries promptly
- Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items
- Reconcile and process credit card statements and supporting receipts
- Maintain and update the vendor master file
- Partner with teams across the company to resolve AP inquiries
- Support preparation for the year-end audit
- Take on additional duties and ad hoc projects as needed
Who You Are
- A college or university graduate in Accounting; 1-2 years of relevant experience is an asset
- Proficient in Excel
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable communicating with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Salesforce/Certinia is an asset
