The role:

We're looking for a CFO to play a key role in building and scaling our business. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role. You’ll be a trusted partner and operator to the CEO as we scale through multi-millions in revenue growth and through fundraising rounds.

We’ve recently closed our Series B funding. You’ll help design and plan our next phase of growth. You’ll build the models, know the levers in the business, and turn the numbers into clear decisions about where our dollars go. You'll balance financial discipline with smart bets, knowing when to protect the runway and when to press on an opportunity.

This is Knit’s first full time CFO hire. We have a longstanding partnership with a fractional CFO. You’ll inherit a strong foundation.

What you'll own:

You will answer - “are we on plan, are we spending our money in the right places, how long does our cash last, and what financial decisions do we need to make now to achieve our growth goals?”

Metrics this shows up in:

• Revenue forecast accuracy
• Burn and burn multiple
• Runway
• Gross margin
• Close timing/accuracy
• Fundraising readiness

Responsibilities:

• Strategic planning: Partner with the executive team to translate our vision and goals into concrete targets.
• Planning cadence: Establish a predictable planning and forecasting rhythm that gives leadership a steady drumbeat for decisions.
• Capital efficiency: Lead the ongoing development of our financial and cash forecasting models and ensure that capital is used efficiently.
• Scalable financial infrastructure: Continue building our financial operating system: systems, controls, accounting, tax, and compliance that hold up as we grow.
• Team: Recruit and lead the finance team, starting lean and building as the business needs it.
• Capital strategy: Partner with the CEO, board, and external partners on our long term capital strategy and relationships.

What you bring:

• Been-there, done-that scaling experience: You've been a senior finance leader at high-growth B2B companies from Series B through Series D, IPO, or exit. Or you're a rising star who has done the work and is ready for the top seat.
• Strategic finance and FP&A depth: You build models and forecasts yourself, you can walk through levers, and you turn analysis into decisions.
• Business judgment: You ask "is this the best use of our money?" and you can frame the trade-offs between dollars in and outcomes out.
• Fundraising and board experience: You've raised both equity and debt, and you're comfortable owning the numbers in front of a board and investors.
• An operator's discipline: You build systems and repeatable processes and communicate proactively, driving alignment and quality decisions.
• Clear thinking and communication: You can turn complex financial data and our revenue model into a simple narrative and decision framework anyone on the team can use.
• Balance and collaboration: You know when to be conservative and when to be aggressive. You're approachable, and people seek you out as a partner.

Why this role:

• High ownership: You'll own the financial strategy and help build the business itself.
• A team that values finance: Our leadership has seen what a strong finance leader makes possible and wants a real partner.
• Rigor and decisiveness: We care about making good decisions at a fast pace
• A defining moment: You'll join ahead of our Series C and help shape the next phase of growth

Benefits:

Upon joining the Knit team, you will receive a competitive salary + variable compensation plus Equity Options, a 401(k) match Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision), and additional coverage, a company laptop and one-time onboarding Technology Stipend, paid parental leave, flexible time-off, hybrid working, meals and more!

Our company values:

We are the Championship Team. This means we:

• Are 1% better every day: We approach situations with a growth mindset and ask, “How can we make the business better?” and “What would it take?”
• Play to win: We set audacious goals and push ourselves to achieve them with a bias towards action. We think like owners, spotting problems, proposing solutions, and taking accountability for outcomes.
• Keep the main thing the main thing: We identify what has the biggest impact and prioritize it.
