About Hebrew Public

Hebrew Public is a small and growing network of schools operated by Hebrew Public: Charter Schools for Global Citizens. Hebrew Public is a secular organization that welcomes candidates of all backgrounds into a supportive and inclusive community.

Across the network, Hebrew Public schools serve children from all backgrounds and help students become global citizens who are strong problem solvers, aware communicators, and lifelong learners committed to making a positive difference in the world around them. Our schools are models of racial and economic integration, academic excellence, and world language learning.

Why PHP?

As part of Hebrew Public, Philadelphia Hebrew Public teachers and staff bring our mission to life with students from more than 40 zip codes across Philadelphia, primarily Black and Brown students whose brilliance, curiosity, and potential drive our work every day.

PHP is rooted in the belief that every student deserves an excellent education in a school where they feel known, supported, and connected. Strong school culture makes rigorous learning possible, and our Climate & Culture Team plays an essential role in creating a safe, joyful, structured, and inclusive environment throughout the school day.

We also invest in our staff through coaching, professional development, feedback, and opportunities to take on greater responsibility and grow within the school community.

For people who want to build meaningful relationships with students and help create a school where every child can thrive, PHP offers the opportunity to make an impact every day.

You don’t need to speak Hebrew to apply, and we strongly encourage candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups to join our community.

The Opportunity

We are always open to meeting student-centered professionals who may be a strong fit for future Climate & Culture Team opportunities. Philadelphia’s education community is a small world, and we value building relationships with talented candidates, even when we do not have an immediate opening.

This evergreen talent-pipeline posting may not represent a current vacancy. Applications will be reviewed as staffing needs arise, and our Talent Team may contact candidates whose experience aligns with an available opportunity.

Our Climate & Culture Team helps students experience consistent expectations, strong relationships, and a sense of belonging throughout the school day. Opportunities may include:

• Junior Deans of Culture, who help strengthen schoolwide culture, support students and staff, respond to behavioral needs, and reinforce consistent expectations and systems
• Culture Assistants, who lead and support high-volume parts of the school day such as recess, lunch, dismissal, and transitions while helping maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment
• Culture Associates, who respond to assigned teacher and classroom needs, provide targeted student support, and help classrooms stay focused, productive, and connected

While responsibilities vary by role, every member of the Climate & Culture Team is expected to build strong relationships with students, communicate clearly, follow schoolwide systems consistently, and respond to challenges with calm, care, and high expectations.
