🚀 Ready to make a global impact at the heart of DEPT®?

We are looking for a Global Strategic Projects Intern to join our crew in Amsterdam & Rotterdam!

Our team operates at the core of DEPT® Global, driving the foundational initiatives that keep our organization running, evolving, and staying ahead of the curve.

Being a Strategic Projects intern isn’t your typical, one-size-fits-all role. You will become a vital part of our team working on cross-functional strategic initiatives, while also being given the unique opportunity to dedicate part of your time to a core pillar of DEPT®’s internal operations (such as Finance, Operations, Commercial or Impact). You get to align your work with your strengths, and you'll be trusted as a full team member from day one.

Why join us?

Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration on a variety of initiatives. You might find yourself helping to map out global process improvements, rolling out internal innovations (like AI-driven efficiency tools), or supporting company-wide strategic initiatives.

This dynamic setup gives you a front-row seat to how a leading global digital agency operates. You get the best of both worlds: the chance to specialize in a core operational area while building a versatile skill set.

If you are approaching the later stages of your studies, and want to work with brilliant minds across the business and leave a tangible mark on DEPT® Global, we want you on our team. Come help us build the agency of the future! ✨

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fuel organizational evolution: Play an active role in delivering DEPT®’s key internal initiatives, from process improvements to launching new workflows, automation, and AI-assisted tools.
• Drive projects from start to finish: Take real ownership of ongoing initiatives, guiding them from initial research and coordination all the way through to successful execution.
• Navigate a dynamic, dual-focus role: Balance your time between your dedicated department and cross-functional global projects, managing your priorities like a pro.
• Translate strategy into action: Craft clear, compelling deliverables (like presentations and project roadmaps) and collaborate with diverse teams across the business to keep momentum going and get things done.

WHAT YOU BRING

• A fast-paced mindset: You genuinely thrive in a dynamic, rapidly evolving, and highly collaborative environment where no two days are exactly the same.
• Curiosity and drive: You bring a natural eagerness to learn, a growth-oriented mindset, and a habit of looking for ways to improve how things get done as you continuously develop your skill set.
• Masterful juggling skills: You can effectively manage multiple tasks, balancing quick daily wins with long-term strategic projects, all while keeping up with your studies.
• Proactive ownership: You take the lead on open-ended work, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality output with pride and attention to detail.
• Team player: You collaborate generously and step in to support teammates when you have capacity, helping the team deliver on time and at a high standard.
• A structural approach: You have a knack for organizing complex information clearly and translating big ideas into sharp, digestible presentations and documentation.
• Strong communication: You express yourself clearly, confidently, and collaboratively, with high working proficiency in English.
• The right availability: You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s (penultimate or final year) or Master’s program at a Dutch university, and you are ready to join us for a 6-month adventure starting in February 2027 for 32–40 hours per week.

WE OFFER

• Hybrid & flexible working: Enjoy the best of both worlds with a flexible setup, spending one day a week in our vibrant Amsterdam office, another in Rotterdam, and the rest with the option of working remotely, giving you the freedom to balance your internship alongside your studies.
• A culture of doing good: Join a team that genuinely cares about its impact. We are proud to be a Certified B Corp® since 2021 and to have been officially named a Great Place To Work in 2023 in the Netherlands!
• Global exposure & team spirit: Get an insider's view of how a top-tier global digital agency operates. You’ll collaborate across diverse teams and projects in a culture that always takes the time to celebrate our shared successes.
• Real growth & development: Level up with hands-on experience. As you build trust, you'll earn increasing ownership, getting a true "behind the scenes" look at how a dynamic global business operates as you develop a versatile skill set.
• Fair compensation: You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €600 (based on a 40-hour work week).
• Stress-free travel: We’ve got your intercity commute covered with a fully provided NS Business Card.

WHY DEPT®?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives.

Not sure you meet all qualifications? Apply, and let us decide! Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs when they think they may not meet every requirement, when in fact they do. We believe in giving everyone a fair chance to shine.

We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us.
