Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepares and/or maintains technical documentation, including references, manuals, or instructions according to set standards.
• Analyzes and assesses current processes and defines / documents improvements.
• Collects and organizes information required for document preparation.
• Develops an intuitive understanding of complex technical information.
• Translates business specifications into user documentation designed for specific audiences.
• Ensures the documentation is concise, consistent, professional, and accurate.
• Reviews published documentation and recommends revisions.
• Collaborates with teams, management, and customers to continuously improve processes and documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:

Essential KSAs:

• Associate’s degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination
• Microsoft office product proficiency (Word, Excel, Visio)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Extraordinary attention to detail
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Ability to work within tight deadlines

Desirable KSAs:

• Previous experience with specific systems / products may be desirable
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, speak, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods, reach with arms, and use close vision. At times, the employee is required to use a telephone, a keyboard and computer, and other office equipment. Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy business office.
