Your Role

We’re hiring a Senior Imaging Engineer to join our optics and imaging team. You’ll own key parts of the image quality across our multi-camera systems, ensuring our cameras automatically capture high-performance footage that powers computer vision, tracking and insights for teams around the world.

As a Senior Imaging Engineer, you’ll:

• Evaluate and improve camera systems. You’ll measure, analyze and improve how optics, sensors and image signal processing (ISP) perform across our computer vision applications.
• Test and qualify hardware. You’ll evaluate lenses and camera modules against optical and environmental specifications, run qualification tests and partner closely with external suppliers on technical follow-up, and refine optical test methods for both lab environments and production lines
• Support ISP tuning. You’ll tune exposure, white balance, tone mapping and dynamic range, while contributing to camera control and 3A algorithms to enhance downstream computer vision.
• Collaborate and lead. You’ll contribute to imaging requirements and trade-offs alongside product managers and our optics lead, own projects end-to-end and share knowledge to mentor fellow engineers.

Location

Time spent collaborating with your teammates in-office will be a regular part of how you work. We’re currently considering applicants within commuting distance of Den Bosch. You’ll be expected to work more days in-office than remote, but will have the freedom to coordinate your specific in-office schedule with your team.

Must-Haves

• Proven imaging experience. You have deep experience in imaging, camera systems or optical engineering, ideally working on shipped hardware products, bringing a strong understanding of optics, image sensors and ISP pipelines.
• Hands-on lab expertise. You bring practical experience measuring image quality - including MTF/SFR, noise, color and distortion - using lab equipment like collimators, test charts and climate chambers.
• Proficient programmer. You’re comfortable using Python for analysis and tooling, as well as C/C++ on embedded Linux.
• A clear communicator. You explain technical trade-offs to non-specialists with ease and make sound decisions even when working with incomplete data

Nice-to-Haves

• Control algorithm development. Experience developing camera control algorithms such as auto exposure and auto white balance.
• Calibration knowledge. Experience with camera calibration (intrinsics, extrinsics and distortion models) and multi-camera or stitched systems.
• Supplier collaboration. Experience partnering with suppliers and manufacturing partners on specifications, sample evaluations and issue resolution.
• Embedded platform experience. Familiarity with embedded camera platforms and ISP tuning tools.

Our Role

• Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time above any required statutory leave, company-wide holidays, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too. Plus, every five years, we give you a paid sabbatical to unplug and recharge.
• Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
• Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
• Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech you need to do your best work.
• Support your wellbeing. Depending on location, we offer medical and retirement benefits for employees—but no matter where you’re located, we have resources like our Employee Assistance Program and employee resource groups to support your mental health.
