Small Girls PR is growing and we are looking for an Associate Account Executive within our fast growing west coast office focusing on a range of exciting consumer brands across the food & beverage, tech, fitness, and lifestyle spaces!

An Associate Account Executive is the foundation of the support infrastructure at Small Girls PR, furnishing documents, call notes, and organizational systems to keep accounts running smoothly. As an AAE, you will contribute to and impact media relations efforts, actively providing ideas and action items and serving as one of the lead pitching participants on the team.

There is no one-size-fits-all for an SGPR client which means your career will be further enriched with meaningful and diversified experience. We’ve turned the invisible work of parenting into a national conversation with Skylight’s Mental Load Report, transformed last-minute travel into a game-time decision with Priceline’s March Madness-inspired “Buzzer Beater Deals,” launched paranormal investigations with Ring doorbells, and hired the Green M&M as Zappos’ newest “shoefluencer” when the spokescandy was put on hiatus due to her boots controversy.

Note: Small Girls PR is currently in the office on a hybrid basis, working two days a week in our LA office.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Draft creative pitch angles that position clients uniquely from their competitor set and yield feature-length stories
• Establish and maintain warm relationships with both business and consumer media
• Come prepared to brainstorms with original campaign concepts and stunt ideas that would drive preferred messaging on behalf of our brands
• Keep the team organized by gatekeeping the monthly activity reports, weekly call agendas + recap notes, and by assisting with wrap reports & decks as needed
• Pulse search engines, alerts and social media to ensure all client placements and mentions are monitored, measured, captured and interpreted
• Periodically share your team’s learnings at company-wide all hands

Why we’ll love you:

• You have at least 1-2 years of post-grad experience within the media relations, corporate communications, or public relations space. Note: this is not an entry level role for 2026 graduates.
• Your passion for error-free work; you double check every detail and spot a typo a mile away
• You’ve already secured top-tier press placements and have the clips to prove it
• You have a strong passion for following trends, culture and media and are obsessed with pop culture and entertainment news!

Why You'll Love Us:

• Atypical Time Off: Generous PTO that scales with tenure, in addition to Summer Fridays, Day of Rests for mental health, Caregiving days, and more!
• Deep Work Focus: Our Smalls In Sync program ensures you have dedicated time for collaboration and strategic solo work
• Comprehensive Benefits: A 100% employer-covered medical plan, 401k match up to 4%, dental, vision, and more
• Innovation Leadership: Our agency was amongst the first to offer client brand campaigns on TikTok (back when it was still called Musical.ly), has been recognized for pioneering unique HR policies live on The Today Show, and our AI Leadership committee has been training our employees at the intersection of PR and AI for over two years (not two months!)
• Vibrant Culture: Employee-led committees shape company policy and organize team celebrations from book clubs to outings

At Small Girls PR, fairness and equity are incredibly important factors throughout our hiring process. As a result, we have a set salary threshold for each role to ensure our teams are compensated equitably. At the AAE level, the salary threshold is $61,000 - $61,000

Don’t meet every single requirement for this role? Studies have shown that women and BIPOC are less likely to apply to jobs if they don’t meet every single qualification listed. At SGPR we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role, but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

We are a diverse and high performing company that is dedicated to creating an inspiring workplace for all. It is the policy of Small Girls PR to provide equal opportunities to all qualified persons, and to recruit, hire, train, promote, and compensate persons in all jobs without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation.
