Platform Engineer, Endpoint Engineering

PLEASE NOTE: This position is located in Seattle, WA and requires attendance at our office three days a week.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. LendingTree and its affiliates (“LendingTree”) will not provide or assume sponsorship for employment visas for this position, now or in the future.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Endpoint Engineering team within Digital Workplace. Our team treats Windows and Mac endpoints as products, building, securing, and delivering them through code, automation, and repeatable pipelines.

In this role, you'll help manage and improve the platforms that support every employee device at LendingTree, including Microsoft Intune, Iru, and our patching and security tools. You'll work at the intersection of IT and software engineering, using scripting, automation, version control, and CI/CD practices to deliver secure, reliable, and compliant endpoints. You'll also have the opportunity to strengthen your software engineering skills by working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Support and improve endpoint platforms: Maintain and troubleshoot endpoint management solutions, including Microsoft Intune, Iru, and ManageEngine Endpoint Central, while supporting Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
• Automate endpoint management: Develop and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts and API integrations to reduce manual work, improve consistency, and streamline endpoint operations.
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines: Support CI/CD pipelines that validate, package, test, and deploy applications, scripts, and policies through test and pilot rings into production.
• Strengthen endpoint security and compliance: Implement and maintain security baselines, encryption, endpoint detection and response (EDR), Conditional Access, and device compliance policies in partnership with Information Security.
• Improve reliability and visibility: Monitor endpoint health, patching, and compliance metrics; maintain dashboards and alerts; troubleshoot issues; and support incident response and root cause analysis.
• Apply engineering best practices: Maintain endpoint configurations as code in Git, participate in code reviews, validate changes before broad deployment, and create documentation that supports reliable operations.

Who You'll Work With

You'll join the Endpoint Engineering team within Digital Workplace, working alongside senior engineers who will help you develop your technical and software engineering skills. You'll collaborate with Information Security, Identity & Access Management, Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Service Desk, and Productivity Apps teams to deliver secure, reliable endpoint experiences across LendingTree.

The team emphasizes collaboration, code review, automation, documentation, and repeatable engineering practices. You'll have opportunities to contribute to larger endpoint initiatives while taking ownership of assigned work and learning from experienced teammates.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years of related experience supporting enterprise endpoints across Windows and macOS.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and a macOS mobile device management (MDM) platform, such as Iru, Jamf, or a similar solution.
• Experience writing automation scripts, with PowerShell required and some experience in Python or another general-purpose programming language.
• Working knowledge of Git, including commits, branches, and pull request workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipelines, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience working with REST APIs, ideally Microsoft Graph, and an understanding of REST/JSON integrations.
• Experience packaging and deploying applications to managed endpoints.
• Understanding of Entra ID, Conditional Access, device compliance, endpoint security baselines, disk encryption, and EDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and macOS, with familiarity in iOS and Android device management.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, particularly across endpoint, enrollment, and policy issues.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What Will Help You Thrive

• Product mindset: You think about the endpoint as a product and the employee as the customer, focusing on reliability, security, and user experience.
• Automation mindset: You look for opportunities to eliminate repetitive tasks, improve consistency, and make endpoint operations more efficient.
• Engineering curiosity: You're interested in learning software engineering practices, improving your scripting skills, and understanding how code and automation can improve IT operations.
• Problem-solving approach: You investigate issues methodically, look beyond immediate symptoms, and work toward identifying root causes.
• Collaboration: You're open to feedback, comfortable asking questions, and willing to share knowledge and work through challenges with teammates.
• Ownership and accountability: You manage your work, follow through on commitments, and take responsibility for the quality and reliability of your deliverables.
• Attention to detail: You value clear documentation, readable code, testing, version control, and thoughtful change management.
• Growth mindset: You're willing to take on challenges, learn from mistakes, and build new technical capabilities through pairing, code reviews, and guidance from senior engineers.

What Success Looks Like

• Endpoint management platforms operate securely and reliably, with configurations aligned to established standards.
• Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices are consistently managed and meet applicable security and compliance requirements.
• Applications, scripts, and policies are deployed through reliable, well-maintained pipelines with appropriate testing and phased rollouts.
• Endpoint configurations and automation are version-controlled, maintainable, and reviewed through established engineering workflows.
• Manual processes are reduced through effective scripting and API integrations.
• Endpoint health, patching, and compliance issues are identified, monitored, and addressed proactively.
• Incidents are investigated thoroughly, root causes are documented, and improvements are implemented to prevent recurring issues.
• Technical documentation and runbooks remain accurate and useful for engineers and end users.
• You become a trusted contributor to the Endpoint Engineering team, delivering assigned work while continuing to grow your engineering skills.
