With millions of diners, 70,000+ restaurant partners and 25+ years of experience, OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a passion for helping restaurants thrive. Our world-class technology empowers restaurants to focus on what matters most – their team, their guests, and their bottom line – while enabling diners to discover and book the perfect restaurant for every occasion.

Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You’ll also be part of a global team and its portfolio of metasearch brands. Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture.

About the Role:

The Guest team, within the Hospitality line of business, is the backbone of our CRM system. We build and operate the scalable, reliable systems for the guest-centric workflows in our restaurant product. Our mission is to empower restaurants with analytics and insights about their guests, enabling them to make smarter decisions and provide an elevated hospitality experience.

As a Senior Engineering Manager of this team, you will be responsible for the team's technical vision, strategy, execution, and the growth of our talented Senior+ product engineers.

You will partner closely with leaders in Product, Design, Data Engineering, Data Science, and other engineering groups to translate complex business needs into scalable systems. This is a high-impact role where you will define the future of products and product platforms in the Hospitality LOB at OpenTable, driving technical strategy and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

We build our services on the JVM using Java and on the .NET platform using C#. Our frontend applications are written in modern React with Hooks and Redux using TypeScript. Our services run on an in-house Kubernetes cluster for large-scale distributed applications. Our data platform is built on a modern, cloud-native stack. Our ecosystem includes technologies for data ingestion (CDC and Kafka), processing (Spark), storage (Databricks/S3), and orchestration (Airflow). We work closely with the Data engineering systems primarily using Python and SQL, and our product-facing backend applications are built on Java/Spring that run on an on-prem Kubernetes cluster. We use Postgres, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch as our primary operational data store.
