About the role

We’re hiring our first full-time owner of organic search and AI discovery across every U.S. brand: Grüns, Nütrops, Immün, Jüced, Müves, and more to come. When someone searches for what we sell, on Google or in ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity, they should find us. Organic is one of our biggest levers to win first orders efficiently and cut our reliance on paid media, and you’ll build it. You’ll set the strategy and ship the work yourself, using AI agents and workflows to do what usually takes a much bigger team.

This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a biannual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL.

In this role, you will:

• Own the SEO and GEO strategy and roadmap across all U.S. brands (informational, commercial, and comparison intent), prioritized by revenue impact
• Personally ship technical SEO on Shopify: crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and canonicals
• Make our products machine-readable, with clean product data and agent-ready pages so AI shopping assistants can find and recommend us
• Write and optimize content across PDPs, collection pages, landing pages, comparison pages, FAQs, and the blog, using AI-assisted production without losing quality or brand voice
• Act as first-line compliance on SEO content using pre-approved claims, escalate to Science & Regulatory only when content goes beyond them, and help build our claims library
• Build off-site authority through syndication, targeted link building, competitor link-gap outreach, and unlinked-mention reclamation, coordinated closely with PR
• Own organic and AI visibility reporting (non-brand traffic, rankings, organic first orders and revenue, AI share of voice, citations), set targets with Finance, and report to leadership
• Build AI agents and workflows for research, briefs, production, and audits, and partner with Ecom, CRO, Copy, Creative, PR, Paid Search, and Retail to get work shipped

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has 6-8+ years of hands-on SEO experience, doing the work yourself rather than managing agencies
• Has proven GEO/AEO results: you’ve measurably increased a brand’s visibility in AI answers and can explain exactly what moved it
• Is equally strong in traditional SEO and AI search
• Is fluent in SEO tools (Semrush, Google Search Console, GA4, a site crawler) and AI visibility tools (AthenaHQ, Profound)
• Has deep Shopify experience: theme/Liquid basics, apps, faceted navigation, duplicate content, JS rendering, and structured data implementation and validation
• Uses Claude Code (or similar) to build agents and workflows that produce more work, faster, at higher quality
• Is a strong writer and editor who balances search intent, conversion, and brand voice
• Bonus: DTC experience and time in a regulated category (supplements, food, health, or beauty)

• Comfortable with imperfect attribution: You make strong calls without clean data or mature GEO tooling

Compensation & Benefits:

At Grüns, we’re committed to providing a competitive total compensation package — grounded in market data that considers our size, stage, industry, and location. For this role, the base salary range is $140,000 - $160,000 plus bonus depending on experience, paired with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of our team.
