Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency in the beautiful Pacific Northwest is searching for an amazing ONCOLOGIST to join our family! (Gig Harbor, Washington)

About Us

Puget Sound Veterinary Specialists is a new specialty hospital in the heart of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are a progressive and inclusive practice, started with the vision of breaking the mold of veterinary medicine that is rife with burnout and compassion fatigue. Our core values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Humility with the over-arching “Do The Right Thing” are the backbone and framework of how we practice medicine, care for ourselves, each other, our patients and their families. We prioritize quality of life and work-life balance to give time to enjoy everything the beautiful PNW has to offer.

We take pride in our horizontal team structure. Our technical and support staff are highly valued and cherished as critical members of the team, this is evident in our shared bonus structure that is provided to all support staff as the hospital grows. In addition to exemplary specialty and emergency medicine, we maintain a collaborative and collegial working environment that supports continued growth and learning in our hospital at all levels.

We are growing by the day and are ready to hire additional technicians. Afraid to leave your favorite technician? We will take them, too!

We recently completed building a state-of-the-art, 21,000 sf facility in Gig Harbor, Washington. You will have your very own brand new oncology suite with a hood room connected directly to your treatment area for ease of treatment and safety. As you develop your service you will have the freedom to order and build your instrumentation and tool set directly in line with your own preference!!!

Our hospital facility also includes a dedicated ICU with long-term mechanical ventilation, full in-house lab, 128-slice CT, MRI, ultrasound, in-house blood-bank and component therapy, I-131 therapy, minimally invasive surgery, flexible and rigid endoscopy, and fluoroscopy and more.

Our ideal candidate is board-certified with experience. You would value and foster a hospital culture of compassionate care, would promote teamwork, and inclusivity with the vision to expand our core values and hospital vision.

Our Team Members also have the opportunity to give back to communities around the globe through our partnership with World Vets. Each year, we send a group of doctors and support staff abroad to help pets in need and support programs that nurture healthy relationships between people and animals.
