THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Director of Brand Marketing to our Marketing team in New York.

This role will own Wellhub’s brand in the United States, translating our global brand strategy into locally relevant, high-impact execution. You will lead brand strategy and activation in a market where Wellhub is still building recognition, working closely with global brand leadership, US Revenue Marketing, Advertising, Social Media, Demand Gen, User Growth and Product Marketing. This is a rare chance to join at a moment of significant US brand investment: a funded, greenfield build, with clear global platforms already in place (including premium sports partnerships) and real freedom to shape how they come to life in the US. You will be the face of the brand in the market, with direct visibility to senior leadership and C-level.

YOUR IMPACT

• Define and execute the US brand strategy, aligned with Wellhub’s global brand strategy and platforms.
• Translate global guidelines into locally relevant execution: campaign regionalization, tone of voice and cultural nuance, grounded in the US competitive, employer-benefits and wellness landscape.
• Build awareness and consideration among US HR and benefits decision-makers (B2B) and employees (B2C).
• Plan and deliver brand-led activations, experiential programs, sponsorships and events end-to-end, managing agencies, vendors and local partners.
• Own the brand budget and the relationships with agencies, sponsorship and media partners (OOH, TV/CTV, streaming), with clear accountability for ROI.
• Use brand tracking, research and competitive benchmarks to inform positioning and investment decisions.
• Partner with Revenue Marketing, Demand Gen, User Growth, Social Media and Product Marketing to connect brand to pipeline and business results, influencing priorities through data and shared goals.
• Lead, develop and manage the US Brand Marketing team, including performance management, career planning and succession.
• Use AI tools in your day-to-day work (research, strategy, content and productivity) and encourage the team to do the same.
• Report brand results and learnings to senior stakeholders, including Directors and C-level.
• Ensure consistency of brand guidelines and visual and verbal identity across all US touchpoints.
• Roll up your sleeves and help when needed. This is a builder role, and you will be hands-on in execution.
• Live the mission: inspire and empower others by genuinely caring for your own wellbeing and your colleagues. Bring wellbeing to the forefront of work, and create a supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable taking care of themselves, taking time off, and finding work-life wellness.

WHO YOU ARE

• This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY (availability to go to the office once a month). Willing to travel frequently for brand events, including at short notice and internationally, and to be available for in-person meetings with agencies, partners or the office with little advance notice.
• A proven brand builder with solid experience in brand marketing, including team leadership, and a track record of building and executing consumer brand strategy in the US (positioning, campaigns and brand-led activations) with measurable impact on awareness or consideration.
• Hands-on in experiential and event marketing, with experience managing agencies, vendors and local partners to deliver brand events and campaigns end-to-end.
• Experienced in partnerships, sponsorships or experiential marketing in the US, with a strong local network of vendors and partners.
• Skilled at translating global brand guidelines into culturally relevant US execution while keeping consistency with a global team.
• A self-starter who brings ideas to the table and builds without waiting to be asked, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Comfortable building in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment where scope, budget and sequencing can evolve.
• A strong communicator who adapts to the audience (senior global leadership vs. local team) and works effectively across time zones with colleagues in Brazil and Europe.
• A people leader with a focus on development and documented performance.
• A regular user of AI tools in your day-to-day work (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Perplexity or similar).
• Background in high-growth environments, regionalized operations or subscription businesses is a plus, as is experience in B2B2C, HR tech, benefits or wellness (not a requirement).
• Fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
• Background in high-growth environments and/or regionalized operations, ideally in B2B2C, HR tech, benefits, wellness or subscription businesses (a plus, not a requirement).

We recognize that individuals approach job applications differently. We strongly encourage all aspiring applicants to go for it, even if they don't match the job description 100%. We welcome your application and will be delighted to explore if you could be a great fit for our team. For this specific role, please note that prior experience in building and executing brand strategy in the US, experiential and event marketing, and adapting global brand guidelines to local execution are mandatory requirements.
