Qualifications: • Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on design experience in electrical drafting/design • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in substation design, with exposure to both Physical and Protection & Controls design work preferred • Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with MicroStation is a plus • Experience preparing substation design packages including layouts, sections, grounding, conduit, cable routing, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel details • Understanding of substation equipment and design elements such as transformers, breakers, switches, bus arrangements, relay panels, control houses, and cable systems • Familiarity with utility, renewable interconnection, and/or high-voltage substation projects is preferred

Preferred Experience: • Experience supporting greenfield and brownfield substation projects • Familiarity with client-specific utility standards and drafting requirements • Experience supporting projects related to renewable energy interconnections, transmission, or power delivery infrastructure • Ability to support both physical layout/design and P&C drafting/detailing across multiple project phases
