Who are we?

CLEVR delivers digital transformation at scale by implementing Siemens, AI and Mendix solutions to serve industries like manufacturing, retail, energy, and more. We help companies deploy software strategically. As a leading, platinum partner of Siemens and Mendix, we combine deep expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) with the speed and flexibility of low code and AI-powered solutions. Our work connects three important domains: PLM, Smart Factory (MOM) and Low code & AI. By bringing these worlds together, we help companies in manufacturing, retail, energy & utilities and other industries optimize processes to save time, reduce costs, and adapt to market demands.

About the job:

Do you enjoy opening doors, starting conversations with new people? Do you see opportunities and chances that others would miss?

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll build CLEVR’s sales pipeline in the DACH market. You’ll identify and approach potential customers, run the first conversations, and find out where Siemens and Mendix solutions can create value, including Siemens Intelligence Center X (ICX), which brings together data, applications, and AI to help businesses turn digital transformation into measurable results. Together with our sales team, you’ll turn those conversations into opportunities and make sure good leads never go cold.

Your drive to get in front of customers, your curiosity about their challenges, and your ability to build trust and listen properly will not only turn first contact into a real business opportunity, but it will be key to your success in this role.

What makes this role unique:

This role sits at the start of every new customer relationship, so you’ll have a direct impact on how CLEVR grows in Germany.

We’re a small, hands-on sales team. You’ll have the freedom to decide how you reach your goals: we focus on results, not on how you get there. You’ll work closely with the colleagues who take qualified opportunities forward, and with our team leads, who look after existing customers. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us for the long term.

Leads come from many directions: your own outreach, inbound requests through our website, our Siemens and Mendix partner channels, and trade fairs and events, which we attend and enjoy together as a team.

We keep things informal. There’s no rigid meeting cadence, just short daily check-ins and a quick exchange whenever someone needs it. We value autonomy and openness: share what you learn, and reach out when you’re stuck.

Your role will include:

• Identifying and approaching potential customers in the DACH manufacturing industry by phone, email, LinkedIn, and at events.
• Running first discovery conversations to understand a company’s challenges and qualify whether Siemens, Mendix, or ICX solutions are a good fit.
• Setting up meetings and demonstrations for qualified opportunities, and handing them over to our sales team with the context they need.
• Following up on inbound leads, for example from our website.
• Staying in touch with existing customers alongside our team leads, and spotting opportunities for follow-up business.
• Representing CLEVR at trade fairs, events, and networking occasions, and building your own network in the market.
• Keeping your pipeline and activities up to date in our CRM, and sharing what you learn from the market with the team.

What you bring to the table:

• At least 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a comparable customer-facing role, ideally at a consultancy or IT services company that sells solutions and services, not just software.
• Hands-on experience prospecting and qualifying B2B opportunities, including cold outreach.
• Interest in or knowledge of the manufacturing industry and digital transformation. Experience with Siemens, Mendix, or low-code solutions, or an existing network in the DACH manufacturing market or the Siemens and Mendix ecosystem, is a strong plus.
• A proactive, hands-on attitude, you’d rather pick up the phone or meet a customer than wait for leads to arrive.
• The ability to work independently and organize your own week, while being an open and transparent team player.
• Fluency in German, written and spoken, as you’ll lead customer conversations in German, plus fluency in English.
• Comfortable working with CRM, sales tools, and Microsoft Office.

What you’ll get:

• Competitive salary
• Annual leave: 30 vacation days
• Work model: Hybrid
• Hansefit Subscription
• Your devices: laptop, mobile phone, and accessories
• Learning and development: value creation days, books, and access to the Udemy platform
• Annual CLEVRistic party
• Social events: CLEVR Social Club
• Insurance
