About Lucid Bots

Lucid Bots is a U.S. AI robotics manufacturer building exterior cleaning drones and robotics for commercial and government customers. Since 2018, our fleet of 500+ robots has helped operators generate over $75M in revenue by taking on dull, dirty, and dangerous work — safely and efficiently.

Our mission: extend human reach.

We're based in Charlotte, NC, where we design, engineer, manufacture, and support our products in the U.S. Customers worldwide — from global enterprises to owner-operators — deploy our robots to improve safety and productivity. We're one of the fastest-growing U.S. manufacturers (recently ranked #4 nationally), backed by a $20M Series B and investors including Y Combinator (S19).

We're building more than robots—we're building the future of physical AI.

Our Core Values and How We Work Together

At Lucid Bots, we're building something extraordinary - and how we work matters just as much as what we build. These values guide how we hire, grow, and show up for one another.

• Expedition Behavior - We climb as one. No silos, no "that's not my job." We protect the team and share the load.
• Grow with Humility - We're relentless learners. We seek feedback, own mistakes, and get better every day.
• Lift People Up - Humans come first. We care fiercely, speak honestly, and design for real people in real conditions.
• Build the Extraordinary - We take ownership, reject the ordinary, and run toward hard problems.

We live Above the Line: we take responsibility, create solutions, and shape the future.

If these values energize you, you'll thrive here. If they feel like too much, this may not be the right climb - and that's okay.

Goal of the Role

You’ll build and test the robots that go out into the world. Real hardware, real problems, real pride when a unit ships clean. Days are hands-on: assemble, troubleshoot, and help us get sharper at how we produce. We care as much about how you show up as what you already know, people who actively problem-solve and aim to get better every week thrive here.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble, maintain, and optimize robotic systems and related equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
• Use production tools day-to-day (soldering, CNC, crimpers, torque tools, multimeters, and related equipment)
• Support warehouse logistics (inventory/shipping) as needed; keep required certs current (Hazmat, forklift, safety)
• Test and validate units before they ship; document results and non-conformances
• Improve assembly, QA/QC, and repair processes for efficiency, quality, and safety
• Partner with engineers on prototypes and share feedback from the bench and field
• Follow safety/regulatory protocols and keep required logs

Who You Are

• Hands-on builder: you like assembling, fixing, and figuring things out with your hands
• Self-driven — you look for work, stay busy, and push harder when goals are missed
• Strong problem-solver
• Comfortable in a fast-paced production environment with quality and throughput targets
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent; manufacturing, service, or electro-mechanical assembly experience is a plus
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and use PPE
• Preferred: FAA Part 107 (or willingness to get it within 6 months)
• Bonus: soldering, harness work, QA tools, CNC/basic machining, or drone/robotics experience

The Promise: This is not a black hole. If you take the time to record it, we will take the time to watch it.

What to Send: (2 mins max) Please do not read a script. Do not worry about editing or production value. Just open your camera and talk to us.

1. Why here? Why are you excited about Lucid Bots specifically?
2. Why you? What is the one thing about you that a resume can't capture?

If you want the highest probability of an interview, send us a video.
