Talent Sourcer (Contract)
Kinder's
Walnut Creek
BUILT ON FLAVOR. FUELED BY PEOPLE.
What’s it like to work at Kinder’s? Well, there’s a lot of snacking and geeking out over what we all cooked over the weekend. Beyond that, there’s also plenty of hard work. Because we don’t just like flavor, we’re obsessed with it.
With over 100 products sold nationwide, we’re now a top-five brand in multiple flavor categories at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, and more. We’re not your typical CPG company. Privately held and founder-led, we like to think of ourselves as a pirate ship in a sea of cruise ships. Our crew is adventurous and fearless. We chart our own course and chase big ideas to make food unforgettable.
As we expand globally and approach $1 billion in revenue, we need more smart-and-scrappy, flavor-obsessed people to come aboard. If you’re looking for a place where you can see the real impact of your work... this is it! Every day, you’ll be part of a journey to add flavor to millions of meals and lives.
About the Role:
Kinder's is experiencing tremendous growth, and we're hiring across nearly every function of the business, from executive leadership to manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, finance, operations, and corporate teams.
We're looking for an experienced Contract Sourcer to help us accelerate hiring by identifying and engaging exceptional talent. This role will partner closely with our Talent Strategy team to build robust talent pipelines, conduct market research, and uncover passive candidates who may not be actively looking, but are exactly who we need.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys sourcing, networking, competitive research, and building relationships. While the initial engagement is contract-based, the timeline is flexible based on business needs and hiring demand.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to identify exceptional passive talent across corporate, commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, finance, and executive functions.
- Build and maintain robust talent pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, referrals, networking, industry associations, and other sourcing channels.
- Create long-term talent communities that support both current hiring priorities and future business growth.
- Continuously explore new sourcing techniques, AI-powered recruiting tools, and innovative methods to identify top talent before competitors do.
Candidate Engagement & Employer Brand
- Execute personalized outreach campaigns that generate meaningful engagement and reflect the Kinder's employer brand.
- Build authentic relationships with prospective candidates, serving as an ambassador for Kinder's throughout the sourcing process.
- Conduct initial candidate conversations to assess experience, career interests, motivation, and overall alignment with Kinder's culture and opportunities.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by communicating professionally, responsively, and thoughtfully throughout every interaction.
Talent Market Intelligence
- Conduct market mapping and competitive talent research to identify high-performing individuals within target companies and industries.
- Partner with Talent Strategy Partners to develop talent maps for difficult-to-fill and executive-level positions.
- Share insights on talent availability, competitive hiring activity, organizational structures, compensation trends, and emerging talent pools to inform hiring strategy.
- Proactively identify new markets, industries, and organizations that expand Kinder's access to exceptional talent.
Partnership & Recruiting Excellence
- Partner closely with Talent Strategy Partners to understand business priorities, hiring profiles, and search strategies.
- Maintain accurate candidate information, sourcing activity, and pipeline data within Greenhouse.
- Collaborate on recruiting initiatives, hiring events, talent branding projects, and process improvements that enhance the effectiveness of the Talent Strategy function.
- Support multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining exceptional organization, urgency, and attention to detail.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience, preferably within high-growth consumer products, manufacturing, food & beverage, retail, technology, or related industries... we are looking for a Souring Pro that can move quickly
- Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates across multiple business functions and levels.
- Expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, and modern sourcing techniques.
- Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems, preferably Greenhouse.
- Strong internet research skills and ability to uncover talent beyond traditional databases.
- Excellent written communication with the ability to create compelling candidate outreach.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple searches in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity, persistence, creativity, and a genuine passion for identifying exceptional talent.
SEASONED FOR SUCCESS:
- No two days here are the same.
- We try to be good team members and good communicators, but we don’t live by hierarchy and structure – everyone is a difference maker here.
- We make a lot of decisions in the face of incomplete information – our team embraces ambiguity and tries to make good decisions fast rather than great decisions slow.
- We believe our job is to take smart risk, not to eliminate risk.
- We believe in growing our skills and becoming a better company with more managerial expertise, but we are an entrepreneurial company at heart.
- We aren’t trying to be average – we want to do exceptional things, and we are willing to work hard to achieve them.
BENEFITS THAT BRING MORE TO THE TABLE:
We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, 401k, bonus / incentive eligibility, equity grants, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits, including parental leave. Kinder’s benefits vary based on eligibility and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.
OUR RECIPE FOR BALANCE:
We believe great culture starts with people. We’re a people-first company built on connection, collaboration, and balance. Most of our work happens in the office to spark creativity and community, but we also offer flexibility so team members have the autonomy to work outside the office when needed to support their work-life balance and personal commitments.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, citizenship, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, results of genetic testing, veteran status, as well as any other legally-protected characteristic.
