Konovo is a global healthcare intelligence company on a mission to transform research through technology—enabling faster, better, connected insights. Konovo is backed by Frazier Healthcare, a healthcare-only growth private equity firm committed to supporting the vision and expertise of our executive leadership team.

Konovo's solutions empower organisations to make data-driven decisions that enhance patient outcomes and streamline healthcare processes. We supply healthcare organisations with real-time access to over 2 million healthcare professionals and patients, the largest available anywhere in the world. Our 300+ employees are spread across five countries, collaborating to support some of the largest organisations in the healthcare industry. Our customers include over 300 leading global pharmaceutical, medical device, market research agency, and consultancy companies.

We are an established but fast-growing business — powered by innovation, data, and technology. Konovo's capabilities are delivered through our cloud-based platform, enabling customers to collect data from healthcare professionals and transform it into actionable insights using cutting-edge AI combined with proven market research tools and techniques.

As we continue to grow we are expanding our Bengaluru, India engineering team. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to serve as the technical right hand to our Senior Director of Engineering, driving the day-to-day delivery of cutting-edge solutions that power Konovo's platform.

AI is embedded in our product and internal tooling. You and your team will help us deepen, scale, and operationalise those capabilities across our platform, data systems, and engineering workflows with production reliability and enterprise discipline. This role is for someone who is very strong technically but solution-oriented rather than a pure technician. As a EM you will bring energy, impact, and a drive to get things done collaboratively with a team operating on a global scale. You will inspire, lead, and mentor the team to make things happen.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Act as the technical right hand to the Senior Director of Engineering — translating strategy into day-to-day execution across the Bengaluru engineering team.

• Apply deep technical expertise hands-on: architecture reviews, code reviews, design discussions, and unblocking engineers on hard problems.

• Manage and mentor a cross-functional group of Software, Quality, and Data Engineers, helping each grow their skills and career.

• Drive agile delivery (Scrum) in close partnership with Product and Design, keeping the team focused on outcomes, not just output.

• Bring energy and a get-things-done mindset — identify blockers, propose solutions, and push initiatives to completion.

• Build and ship new product capabilities, balancing technical excellence with pragmatic delivery timelines.

• Champion engineering best practices — code quality, testing, CI/CD, monitoring — raising the bar across the team.

• Partner with global engineering leadership and peers in other regions to align local execution with company-wide standards.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and ownership within the team.

• Evangelize and accelerate AI adoption within both engineering practices and our product.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5+ years managing and growing a team of software and/or multi-discipline engineers as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead.

• Very strong technically — credible in architecture and design discussions with a solutions-orientation.

• A bias toward action: energetic, collaborative, and relentless about getting things done.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across a global, distributed organisation.

• Self-starter who can think strategically, creatively, and analytically, and is comfortable operating with ambiguity.

• Passion for learning new technologies and solving complex problems with innovative methods.

Demonstrated expertise in:

• Agile methodology and tools, applied hands-on in a team environment.

• Software architecture and design, applied to complex real-world systems.

• Software craftsmanship, SDLC, CI/CD, quality, and monitoring.

• Scaling and growing engineering teams.

• Cloud technology and tooling — comfort with AWS.

• Supporting business-critical systems and products in a SaaS environment.

• Working with and managing global, distributed teams.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science (or equivalent).

Tech Stack — Direct Experience or Willingness to Quickly Learn

• Back end: Scala, Java, NodeJS, Go.

• Front end: JavaScript, React, Next.js.

• Database: Databricks, SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB/DocumentDB).

• AI/ML: ML/AI capabilities, Claude Code, AI SDLC, and related concepts.

Why Konovo?

• Be part of a mission-driven organisation empowering life science researchers and data scientists with the broadest ecosystem of healthcare audiences and an intelligent, AI-enabled platform — so insights aren't just collected, they're connected.

• Work with a team of smart, nice people who get things done.

• Be the technical right hand to a growing engineering leadership team at a critical global hub undergoing transformative growth and innovation.

• Join a fast-growing global team with real opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

• Enjoy a collaborative and hybrid work environment designed for employee well-being, growth, and balance.

• Access long-term incentives and comprehensive benefits, including group medical coverage, accident insurance, and a robust leave policy.

• Make a real-world impact by helping healthcare organisations innovate faster.
