Positioning Statement

The Segment Strategy is the business owner of the segment solution portfolio, working alongside Application and Technology Architects, who provide the technical and architectural leadership, and alongside the Solution Marketing teams, who provide the customer and market requirements. Together they form the core team responsible for identifying opportunities, defining solutions, securing investments, and delivering successful market launches.

This positioning clearly creates a "triad model":

• Solution Marketing → Market opportunity, business case, prioritization, commercialization.

• Application Architects → Customer requirements, solution definition, system architecture.

• Technology Architects → Technology roadmap, platform strategy, innovation direction.

This structure tends to work very well in semiconductor system solution organizations because it balances market pull, application pull, and technology push.

Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
