Job Description:
The Cybersecurity Engineer will design, implement, and manage cybersecurity solutions to ensure compliance with DoD requirements, integrating security into the DevSecOps lifecycle. Develop secure architectures, implement NIST and DoD security controls, conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, and manage tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Embed secure coding practices, conduct security testing (static/dynamic analysis, code reviews, penetration testing), integrate automated scans into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and implement authentication, authorization, and data protection measures
- Lead threat modeling, monitor and analyze security events, execute incident response procedures, and design Zero Trust architectures.
- Developing security policies, performing audits, maintaining compliance documentation, and collaborating with teams to integrate security best practices.
- Stay current with emerging threats and technologies
- Enhance the organization's security posture and contribute to governance and threat intelligence efforts
What you need:
- Candidates must meet one of the following areas:
- Advanced Degree:
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
- Equivalent Training: Completion of one of the following accepted training programs:
- Control Systems Security Specialist (Advanced) Playlist
- Advanced Degree:
- 10 years experience with cybersecurity
- Expert knowledge in DoD-compliant cybersecurity engineering
- Proficient with security controls, assessments, and security incident response
- Must meet DoD 8140 requirements
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
