Your Role

We’re hiring a Senior Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team, working with squads dedicated to site reliability, cloud infrastructure, observability and production operations. You’ll help drive operational consistency and ensure that Hudl engineers can build on a highly available, scalable and secure platform.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll:

• Lead with technical excellence. You’ll collaborate with engineers to build high-quality, scalable platforms, staying deeply involved in system architecture and design.
• Mentor and guide. You’ll share your technical expertise to help engineers navigate complex system designs, setting an example in planning, designing and delivering infrastructure projects.
• Champion innovation. We’re heavily invested in an AI-first mindset, and you’ll use AI tools and modern tech to improve engineering workflows and stay ahead of the curve.

Location

We'd like to hire someone for this role who lives near our office in London, but we're also open to remote candidates in the U.K.

Must-Haves

• Experienced. You have either led or played a key role in architecting and delivering large-scale platforms or applications.
• Technically grounded. You have a strong background in platform engineering and feel comfortable designing complex systems using AWS primitives, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform or OpenTofu, and Kubernetes.
• A team player. You understand that problem-solving is a team effort and enjoy helping others on our Engineering team learn, develop their skills and build immediate trust through your technical knowledge.
• Forward-looking. You’re comfortable using AI to improve workflows and are excited to adopt new technologies.

Nice-to-Haves

• Domain passion. Previous experience in site reliability and operational excellence is highly desirable.

Our Role

• Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time above any required statutory leave, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
• Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
• Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
• Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech you need to do your best work.
• Support your wellbeing. Depending on location, we offer medical and retirement benefits for employees—but no matter where you’re located, we have resources like our Employee Assistance Program and employee resource groups to support your mental health.
