This role will primarily involve the design of industrial ductwork, reinforced concrete structures, and structural steel components for pipeline and facility projects. Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor is strongly preferred, along with experience producing detailed construction drawings for industrial and midstream energy infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement structural design input from the Lead Structural Engineer for oil and gas facilities, including pipelines, compressor stations, terminals, and processing plants
• Develop detailed construction documents, including structural plans, sections, and connection details for steel and concrete structures commonly used in oil and gas infrastructure
• Develop and detail ductwork layouts and designs for oil and gas facilities, coordinating duct routing, supports, equipment connections, and clearances with structural, mechanical, piping, and other disciplines
• Revise drawings based on redlines and ensure all affected sheets and disciplines are properly coordinated and updated
• Perform periodic field visits to verify existing conditions, collect structural framing and ductwork measurements, and support as-built documentation
• Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining high-quality deliverables and meeting established deadlines

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Drafting & Design Technology, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and structural plan sets, particularly for oil and gas facilities such as pipelines, terminals, and process plants
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (versions 2021, 2022, or 2023) is required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience using AutoCAD and/or CADWorx for industrial structural or piping design
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative design team
