The City of Philadelphia operates on a fiscal year between July 1st and June 30th.

The Office of the Director of Finance (Finance) is charged with overseeing the City’s financial, accounting, and budgetary functions, including:

• Establishing fiscal policy guidelines.

• Overseeing the City’s budget and financial management programs.
