Job Overview OB Hospitalist New Orleans. The Physician provides medical care and treatment to patients. Provides consultation and supervision to clinical staff. Performs routine examinations, diagnoses, and treatment for illnesses and injuries to promote patient well‑being, plus immunizations. Responsibilities Patient Care Provides quality care. Responds to patient calls, attends to patients, maintains records of patient encounters, monitors for neglect, and handles emergencies per policy. Patient Access Participates in physician call schedule and offers patient meeting slots per template. Safety & Infection Control Ensures compliance with safety and infection control standards, implements precautions, maintains clinic environment, reports hazards. Medical Director Duties (if applicable) Ensures provider compliance, communicates concerns, coordinates schedules, conducts provider assessments. Qualifications Completed residency training. Doctoral Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy. Licenses & Certifications American Heart Association – Basic Life Support (HCP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Medical Physician Licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Skills & Abilities Medical clinical skills. Computer software proficiency. Knowledge of ICD‑10 and CPT‑4 coding.
