Expand your career by working closely with a successful group of hospitalists evaluating, diagnosing and treating a variety of patients. POSITION DETAILS Assist hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, history and physicals, and follow‑up visits. Initiate appropriate treatment and testing for medical illnesses. Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions. Round on rehabilitation patients, including long‑term acute care patients. Document using the EMR system. Participate in continuous quality improvement processes. IF YOU Enjoy working days (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) 7 days on, 7 days off. Have active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment, and decision‑making skills. Are licensed as an Acute Care Physician Assistant in Texas. Hold ACLS certification. Have at least 2 years of PA experience in ICU/CVICU (preferred). PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS The Physician Assistant (“PA”) will be licensed as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such a license in good standing at all times. A master’s degree is required. The PA will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
