Description The Emory University Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology Program (NBB) seeks a teaching‑track professor (open rank) to teach and mentor undergraduates in the interdisciplinary program spanning biology, anthropology, psychology, and various neuroscience subfields. The new faculty member will teach two courses per semester—typically 1–2 core NBB courses and 2–3 electives each year, which may include existing course sections or new courses in neuroethics, science and society, clinical, computational, evolutionary, cognitive, systems, developmental, or other neuroscience areas of the candidate’s expertise. Successful candidates will hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a closely related field, demonstrate a strong commitment to effective pedagogy, and have a record of excellent undergraduate teaching and mentoring. Experience engaging students from diverse backgrounds, fostering critical thinking, and applying evidence‑based instructional techniques is especially valued. The primary responsibilities include teaching, program administration, and service to the NBB program and the university. The role also involves leadership of the NBB program, participation in college and university governance, and support of faculty development initiatives.
