Position Highlights Join our team of 4 cardiac surgeons at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Perform a broad range of adult cardiac surgery, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, and aortic surgery. Strong interest and experience in mechanical circulatory support is essential as this position includes ECMO, temporary ventricular support and placement of LV‑ADs. Opportunity for clinical education and research with fellow, resident and medical student teaching; faculty appointment to UMass‑Chan Medical School. Our experienced cardiac surgery team offers excellent mentoring for those early in their career. Qualifications Board‑eligible or board‑certified cardiac surgery. Sub‑specialty fellowship very desirable. Compensation The compensation range listed below represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are based on assumed full‑time commitment for exempt employees. Minimum: $600,000 – Maximum: $950,000.
