The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Position Summary To provide clinical optometric care in a professional manner to the YK Delta populace. Position Qualifications Graduate Diploma from an accredited school of optometry. Licensing/Certification: Must have an Alaska license and be certified to use both diagnostic and therapeutic agents. Successfully pass the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease (TMOD) certification or the National Board of Examiners in Optometry equivalent. Equipment/Tools: Must have the computer skills needed to access computerized medical records. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: General Optometry Supervisory Responsibilities: Ability to supervise medical students, residents, and physician extenders, and Community Health Aide clinical practice. Also oversee medical staff in their service area.
