Overview A well-known and premier NYC-area academic center is seeking a full-time neuro-oncologist at the Associate Professor or Professor level in the Department of Neurology, Division of Neuro-Oncology. This position will support the clinical work in the division, particularly clinical trials for brain tumors, and serve as the Clinical Director of Brain Tumor Research in the Division of Neuro-Oncology and Co-Leader of the Neuro-Oncology Disease Based Team for the HICCC. The optimal candidate will have strong relationships with industry and the neuro-oncology academic community, and in-depth experience leading prospective brain tumor clinical trials, such as industry-sponsored or supported, investigator-initiated, and NCI National Clinical Trials Network studies. The position includes outpatient clinical activity, inpatient neuro-oncology consultation, and teaching of residents, fellows and students. Responsibilities Direct clinical work in the division with emphasis on brain tumor clinical trials. Serve as the Clinical Director of Brain Tumor Research in the Division of Neuro-Oncology. Co-Leader of the Neuro-Oncology Disease Based Team for the HICCC. Lead prospective brain tumor clinical trials, including industry-sponsored, supported, investigator-initiated, and NCI National Clinical Trials Network studies. Provide outpatient clinical activity and inpatient neuro-oncology consultation. Teach residents, fellows, and students. 5+ years of experience preferred; report to the program’s Chief of Neuro-oncology.
