Position Overview Find your calling at Mercy! Mercy Hospital Jefferson is recruiting an Internal Medicine Residency Program Director for our brand-new Internal Medicine program. The Residency Program Director is responsible for the overall conduct of the Residency Program. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, including administrative operations, curriculum development, resident recruitment, and clinical education and supervision. Build the GME program, obtain ACGME accreditation, and be part of a large academic network focusing on excellence in resident education and patient care. Be accountable for the overall program including compliance with all applicable ACGME program requirements. 0.5 FTE protected time devoted to performance of administrative duties. 0.5 FTE devoted to clinical patient care. Qualifications Current certification in Internal Medicine by either the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). Experience in curriculum development, evaluation methodology, teaching and mentoring residents. At least three years of documented education and/or administrative experience, such as serving as a PD, Associate PD, or in a faculty position at an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program. Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary, interprofessional team to create an education environment that promotes high‑quality care, patient safety, and resident well‑being.
