Job Summary Loyal Source Government Services is looking for a full-time Urologist to provide Urology services in Martinsburg, WV. The Urologist will provide professional medical services and quality care to our Veteran population located at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. The Urologist is required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to our Veterans. Duties Responsible for providing professional Urology services. Provide clinical urology servicesincluding evaluating and treating patients in a Urological outpatient clinic daily, seeing patients onconsult, coordinating referral of consults, when necessary, cystoscopies, surgeries and other relatedurology procedures and basic urological care. Required to make in patient rounds for Urological patients. Will perform cystoscopies in clinic and will performvasectomies, scrotal surgeries, ureteroscopies, transurethral surgeries for prostate disease and bladdercancer. Robotics, laparoscopies and major complex urologic surgery not required. Required to be present on time for any scheduled clinics/surgeries as documented by physicalpresence in the clinic or operating room at the scheduled start time. Qualifications Required to be Board Certified/ Board Eligible by the American Board of Urology (ABU). All continuing education courses requiredfor maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times Must have a completion of anapproved residency program in Urology during which 3 years were devoted to Urological surgery. Required to havea current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, orCommonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsiteon VA property. All licenses shall be full and unrestricted licenses.current, full and unrestricted licenses in one or morestates, but who have, or ever had, a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked,voluntarily surrendered pending action, or denied upon application will not be considered for thepurposes of this contract. Must have an active BLS/ACLS/AHA certification. Required to be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read,and write English fluently. Expected to be able to perform: Lymphatic Major Procedures,Abdominal Major Procedures, I&D Prostatic Abscess, Prostate Procedures, Urethra Procedures,Ureter Major Procedures, Epididymis and Spermatic Cord Procedures, Bladder Procedures, KidneyMajor Procedures, Penis Procedures, Scrotum Procedures, Testis Procedures, EndoscopyProcedures, and should be able to use holmium laser, ESWL, and able to perform fluoroscopy. Additional Information VA operations are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, on call hours required are 10 days amonth, two (2) which will occur over a weekend.
