Hospitalist – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) Job Type Independent practice; physicians own and operate their own practice while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support. Overview Physicians establish or transition into an independently operated medical practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. The physician governs clinical operations and decisions, while MedCBO supports non‑clinical business functions. Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing with physician participation as required. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform and implementation. Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to services provided. Eligibility for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest.
