Job Summary and Qualifications Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer or designee, you oversee the respiratory care department and ensure that high quality respiratory care, as ordered by the physician, is performed according to the standards and practices of Respiratory Care in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization. You will support the HCA Code of Conduct and demonstrate behaviors consistent with the organization mission and goals. You will ensure patient and personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment and adhering to the Safety Program and Infection Control Programs. You will support hospital and departmental Performance Improvement Goals. You will contribute to the organization’s five indicators of success: Employee Satisfaction, Physician Satisfaction, Patient Satisfaction, Continuous Performance Improvement, and Community Involvement. You will be responsible for 24‑hour operation of the respiratory department. You will perform tests and treatments as needed. You will coordinate and ensure staff coverage for all shifts and documentation is complete and correct. You will assist in the capital and operating budget process. You will evaluate staff and review recommendations with the director. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care with an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certification / Licensure: Current CRTT or RRT. Current Texas Department of Health Respiratory License. Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience.
