Location: Oncology Consultants Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $170,000.00 KPA 1 – Inpatient support Conduct hospital rounds. Assist with admissions and discharges. Provide on‑call support. KPA 2 – Assessment Assess the physical and mental condition of patients through comprehensive or problem‑focused physical examinations and medical histories. Order, collect, interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and health‑care needs. Prescribe medications and make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Refer patient to appropriate sources of care as clinically indicated. KPA 3 – Documentation Counsel patients concerning medical and psychological/psychiatric conditions, treatment plans and behavior modification. Maintain appropriate records detailing the patient’s treatment plans and outcomes. Initiate timely consultation and referral when the problem exceeds scope of practice and/or expertise. Capture charges in a timely manner. KPA 4 – Communication Effectively communicate with admitting and referring team. Triage and respond to all forms of communication in a timely manner. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Position Qualifications / Requirements Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant program; Master’s degree required. APRN or PA license in the appropriate state; prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply; maintain board certification; current BLS. Minimum five years experience as APRN or PA, oncology required.
