About this position Many physicians wish for clinical autonomy but avoid private practice due to billing complexity, staffing risk, payer contracting, and administrative overhead. This opportunity is for physicians who want to practice independently while receiving structured operational support for the non‑clinical business functions of their own practice. No prior business ownership experience is required. Overview Physicians will establish and operate their own practice entity while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support services. This is not an employed physician position. Physicians may establish or transition a practice in a preferred market, subject to state licensure and regulatory requirements. The physician governs clinical operations, decisions, and patient care policies. MedCBO does not direct patient care. Non‑clinical Services Provided by MedCBO Revenue cycle management, coding, and payer contracting support EHR, technology platform, telehealth, and clinical workflow systems Credentialing, enrollments, and facility privileging coordination Accounting, financial reporting, and practice financial infrastructure HR administration, staffing workflows, and compliance support Supply chain and vendor coordination Opportunity Description Start a new private practice Transition from employment to ownership Convert an existing practice to a supported model Relocate and establish a practice in a new market MedCBO supports administrative and operational functions while the physician independently operates the medical practice. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the specialty scope Develop professional relationships within the medical community Coordinate payer credentialing as required Determine clinical services offered Manage clinical quality and patient experience Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
