Industry Pharmaceuticals Type Privately Held About the Role We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Safety and Pharmacovigilance to lead the global safety strategy for our innovative small molecule pipeline. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance. As the VP, you will manage safety surveillance, signal detection, and the preparation and submission of key safety reports. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in pharmacovigilance within small molecule drug development and must excel in regulatory interactions. You will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, clinical operations, regulatory, medical affairs, and commercial divisions to seamlessly integrate safety considerations into all decision‑making processes. Essential qualifications include an MD in a life sciences field with over 15 years of pharmacovigilance experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including at least 10 years in leadership roles. You should have extensive experience in all phases of small molecule drug development, a thorough understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations, and proven capabilities in leading safety risk management and benefit‑risk assessments. In this role, you will also be tasked with building and nurturing a high‑performing pharmacovigilance team, making experience in leadership and team development critical.
