Rural Community Hospital | Full-Time / Part-Time Opportunities We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Physician to join our team at a rural, community-focused hospital serving a population of approximately 19,000. About the Emergency Department 10-bed Emergency Department Average volume: ~30 patients per 24 hours Single-provider coverage per shift 24/7 RN staffing Broad scope of practice with strong nursing support Hospital & Community 71‑bed rural hospital Inpatient behavioral health unit (ages 18+) Obstetric services on-site (deliveries performed locally; next closest facility 60 miles) Nearest tertiary care center is over 60 miles away Ideal setting for physicians who value autonomy, variety, and meaningful community impact Clinical Support & Resources On-call specialty coverage (not 24/7) including: Orthopedics General Surgery Advanced Imaging No in-house cardiology or pulmonology Strong transfer relationships for higher levels of care Qualifications MD or DO, eligible for medical licensure ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required Board certification in Emergency Medicine encouraged but not required Comfort practicing independently in a rural emergency setting Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary appropriate for patient volume and scope of practice Relocation assistance available Position may qualify for HRSA loan repayment NRMC provide malpractice insurance Supportive leadership and collaborative medical staff Why Join Us?
