Job Summary Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Days of Week: Monday-Friday. Work Shift: Not specified. Education and Licensure Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current Texas professional Nursing license required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Experience & Skills Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department and Medical Surgical experience (ICU preferred). Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with all levels of staff. Ability to professionally and effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Strong English language skills, including reading, writing, and speaking. Consistent professional behavior, confidentiality handling, interaction with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Accountability, flexibility, adaptability, initiative, self‑starter, time efficiency. Understanding of MHD guidelines, Infection Control guidelines, and safety guidelines. Proactive problem analysis and resolution. Qualifications Five or more years of nursing management experience. Job Duties Develops and implements strategic plans and goals in conjunction with MHD Strategic imperatives and MSMC Strategic Goals. Ensures development and implementation of appropriate systems to facilitate optimal operations. Recruits, hires, and coaches leadership team members; oversees human resources and staff development operations. Establishes professional relationships with medical staff to collaborate in program planning and addressing clinical practice issues. Develops budgets; supervises operations within appropriate financial guidelines; explains budgetary variances. Other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
