Role Summary Provide overall project management expertise for Vaccine Global Product Teams. Use in‑depth experience to ensure that strategic and operational objectives are created from early (lead) development through Proof of Concept, licensure, or post‑approval commitments. Deliver operational milestones on or ahead of schedule and within budget while meeting quality standards, business deliverables, and key criteria. Support organizational portfolio planning and governance processes as needed. Role Responsibilities Program Strategy – Partner with Research, Clinical, and team leads to develop forward‑thinking programs that maximize medical and commercial value. Apply expertise to create development strategy, plans, and budgets; ensure operational discipline and adherence to approved strategy. Analyze portfolio and strategy issues, prepare executive reports, and present to Pfizer vaccine stakeholders. Program Planning & Management – Expert in project‑management tools and planning. Understand individual project timelines, assumptions, and how they impact overall program milestones. Drive issue resolution with stakeholders, facilitate meetings, and keep the team responsive to evolving information. Manage ambiguity and uncertainty in near‑term outcomes while maintaining focus on efficient paths to future value. Team Effectiveness – Ensure teams work collaboratively, build trust, manage conflict, and maintain relationships with senior management and functional stakeholders. Leadership – Confront and resolve difficult issues or conflicts, challenge the team for high‑quality decisions, and communicate effectively with senior management. Lead through influence and collaboration. Cross‑Program Activities – Work with other internal Pfizer organizations to facilitate portfolio prioritization, forecast future workload and resource demands, and provide high‑quality program management support for vaccine development programs. Scientific / Technical Knowledge Clear understanding of the development process, mechanism of action, disease pathophysiology, unmet needs, standard of care, and competitive landscape. Assimilate new data and apply it to current and future development programs. Process Knowledge Extensive knowledge of drug development in the industry and Pfizer’s internal governance procedures. Use this knowledge to achieve program objectives, integrate data across functional areas, guide strategic decisions, and lead process improvement efforts. Qualifications Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MD) in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline preferred. 10+ years of biotechnology experience with vaccine/drug development expertise. Extensive project‑management experience working with cross‑disciplinary, matrix‑based teams. Track record of influencing thought leaders and developing scientific and business strategies. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to coach, develop others, and influence peers. Training or academic background in drug R&D or business management. Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary ranges from $214,900.00 to $358,100.00, depending on location. Eligible for Pfizer Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and participation in our share‑based long‑term incentive program.
