Responsibilities The Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a board‑eligible/board‑certified optometrist to join our established academic practice. This position will cover clinical care of patients, comprehensive eye care, and participation in a care team in collaboration with esteemed physicians and technicians. Specific interests in Ocular Disease are preferred. Candidates should be residency‑trained and willing to participate in the department’s academic activities. The department has 40 members who cover all subspecialty areas of ophthalmology, providing services for more than 80,000 patients per year. Mayo Clinic is a non‑profit, physician‑led, multi‑specialty clinical practice integrated with education and research in a unified, multi‑campus environment. Compensation Minimum starting salary for PhD/Doctoral/Other specialties may range from $136,643 to $280,250. This range reflects full‑time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
