Position Summary West Virginia University Health System (SMG) is seeking a Hospitalist, Medical Director to practice in Charleston, WV. The successful candidate will oversee the Thomas Memorial Hospital (TMH) Hospitalist Program and ensure the highest quality patient care. Responsibilities Oversee TMH Hospitalist Program activities and staffing. Ensure patients receive high‑quality treatment and maintain safe standards. Provide efficient consultation services and streamline clinical processes. Develop and implement appropriate clinical treatment protocols. Maintain high levels of patient satisfaction and safety. Oversee quality metrics established by WVUHS and report outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, administration, nursing, and technical staff to maintain excellent clinical care and operations. Organize development of new clinical programs and innovations. Qualifications MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, eligible for a West Virginia medical license. Completed Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program. Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. All qualifications met by the time of appointment.
