Job Summary As an important member of the University of Colorado GI faculty, the Gastroenterologist will have clinical responsibilities including outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital consultations, endoscopic procedures, and nights/weekends call coverage. The gastroenterologist's primary practice site will be the University of Colorado Hospital, Anschutz Medical Campus, where they will provide outpatient and inpatient GI consultative and endoscopic services. This position is 5 days per week, allocated as 3 half-days of clinic, 5 half-days of endoscopy, and 2 half-days of clinical administrative time weekly. Additionally, they will provide nights/weekends call coverage at the University of Colorado Hospital and affiliate hospitals (Denver Veterans Affairs Hospital, Denver Health Medical Center) in equitable rotation with other members of the group. The successful applicant will communicate appropriately and effectively with patients, staff, consultants, and colleagues, and will exhibit outstanding customer service skills and responsibility in maintaining respectful relationships. Key Responsibilities Evaluation and management of GI disorders within the scope of a general gastroenterologist, including GERD, dysphagia, IBS/functional GI disorders, eosinophilic esophagitis, abnormal liver function tests, pancreatitis, occult iron deficiency anemia, and GI motility disorders. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor based on experience and qualifications.
