Job Title Pediatrics - Gastroenterology (Assistant Professor) Summary The Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine - in partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) - is seeking a full‑time pediatric gastroenterologist with significant expertise in nutrition and intestinal rehabilitation to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (GHN) at Texas Children’s Hospital located in the Texas Medical Center (TMC) Campus in Houston, TX. TCH is a state‑of‑the‑art 800 bed free‑standing facility which houses six high‑acuity surgical suites and four Pediatric Subspecialty Intensive Care Units (84 rooms). The GHN division, which completed over 30,000 outpatient visits and over 3,300 endoscopies in 2024‑25, offers specific GHN expertise in advanced endoscopy, aerodigestive disorders, celiac disease, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, hepatology and liver transplantation, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal rehabilitation, neurogastroenterology/motility and pancreaticobiliary disease. The division cares for over 100 children requiring home TPN as part of their intestinal rehabilitation. The recruited faculty would join a highly collaborative group of more than 35 MD/DO faculty, 10 advanced practice providers, 12 GHN fellows, one transplant hepatology fellow, and a dedicated staff of clinical nurse coordinators, GHN specialized dieticians, social workers, endoscopy technicians and registered nurses. The ideal applicant should be eligible to be an assistant, associate or full professor (tenure‑track possible) in the Department of Pediatrics with an established expertise in nutrition and intestinal rehabilitation. This is a 100% clinical position with a significant focus on intestinal rehabilitation. An interest in gastroenterology in neonates would be welcomed. Minimum Qualifications MD or DO Completed a Fellowship Program in Pediatric Gastroenterology Board certification (or board eligible) in Pediatric Gastroenterology Eligible to be an assistant, associate or full professor (tenure‑track possible) in the Department of Pediatrics Established expertise in nutrition and intestinal rehabilitation Work Authorization Requirement This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
