Responsibilities Manage a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the ER/CCU department, ensuring efficient patient flow and high‑quality care Collaborate with other department managers to optimize patient outcomes and client satisfaction Implement and maintain protocols and procedures to uphold clinical standards and compliance with regulatory requirements Provide support and guidance to team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development Demonstrate solid veterinary clinical skills and be a role model for the team Facilitate direct or indirect training for department staff Provide routine assessment of skill level and knowledge Complete monthly schedule and ensure adequate coverage Manage department payroll and staffing costs, including review and approval of timecards Deliver results in areas of staff development, best practices (SOPs), training, client satisfaction, and safety The ideal candidate We are looking for someone who brings leadership through organization, motivation, coaching, and clear, respectful communication.
