Position Title: Substitute Teacher Location: Lisbon Exempted Village Schools / Lisbon, OH Employment Type: As Needed / Part-Time / On-Call Pay Rate: $110/Day About the Role Dedicated School Staffing is looking for adaptable and dependable Substitute Teachers to step into classrooms when regular educators are absent. This position plays a key role in maintaining instructional consistency, supporting student learning, and fostering a structured and positive classroom environment throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities Carry out instructional plans and materials left by the classroom teacher Maintain order in the classroom and support a respectful, focused learning environment Deliver instruction clearly and assist students with assigned learning activities Adjust teaching approach based on grade level and subject area Record attendance and complete daily reporting requirements Coordinate with school staff and administration as needed Oversee students during lunch, recess, transitions, and other assigned times Required Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent required Valid Ohio substitute teaching license or other approved teaching certification Successful completion of required background checks Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow established lesson plans and adapt quickly to classroom needs Professional behavior with a student-centered approach Compliance with the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators Completion of Safe & Engaged training may be required Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or childcare settings Working knowledge of classroom management practices Experience supporting students with a range of learning needs and backgrounds What We Offer Flexible, on-call scheduling Opportunities to build classroom experience in education Potential access to long-term substitute placements Possible pathways into full-time teaching positions Eligibility for limited medical benefit options Participation in the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS)
