Position Summary: The Administrator in Training (AIT) program is a structured leadership development role designed to prepare candidates for licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA). The AIT will receive direct mentorship from an experienced LNHA and Regional Director of Operations while completing rotations in all departments of a skilled nursing facility. The AIT is expected to complete all state‑required training, test, and obtain licensure as an LNHA within six (6) months of hire. Key Responsibilities: Complete state‑approved Administrator in Training program requirements under supervision. Rotate through Nursing, Social Services, Dietary, Business Office, Human Resources, Maintenance, and Admissions departments to gain operational knowledge. Assist with daily facility operations, staffing, and resident care oversight. Participate in financial management including budgeting, census development, and accounts receivable. Support survey readiness, compliance programs, and quality assurance initiatives. Engage in leadership development activities, including staff training, performance management, and customer service programs. Attend and actively participate in corporate and facility leadership meetings. Prepare and present reports on AIT program progress to preceptor and corporate leadership. Successfully complete the state licensing exam and obtain LNHA license within six (6) months of hire. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field. Acceptance into state‑approved Administrator in Training program. Commitment to obtain Nursing Home Administrator license within six (6) months. Strong leadership potential with ability to learn and adapt. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Knowledge of healthcare operations or long‑term care preferred. Analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications: Previous healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience. Master’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration. Physical & Work Requirements: Frequent walking, standing, and interaction with staff and residents. Ability to travel within region for training and meetings. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed during training.
