Industrial Sales Engineer Kaydon Ring & Seal (KRS) is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial applications. KRS has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace and Industrial industries. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine/airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of the KRS business. Job Summary The primary role of Industrial Sales Engineer is to develop and present technical/commercial solutions to customer needs, ultimately leading to placement of customer order. Essential Job Functions Development of quotes, reports, presentationsTear down and evaluation of customer property returned for repairManaging existing customers and opportunitiesUncovering and adding new customers and opportunitiesForecasting of orders and sales quotasTechnical support of customer equipmentTravel to support customer needs and engagement - 25% travelReport progress against specific objectives and opportunities in a timely mannerKeep Director abreast of changing market conditions, major customer shifts, competitive activities and the likeIndependently close sales opportunities against expectations Additional Duties Complete other duties assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related technical discipline)Hands-on mechanical aptitudeSufficient PC capabilities to interface with company and customersEligible to receive TWIC credential for access to petroleum refineriesMust be legally authorized to work in the US; sponsorship not available Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detailAble to organize and prioritize work.Time management skills to ensure that administrative tasks are completed. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
