What You Will Do We are looking for a PRN Board Certified OBGYN MD/DO with 2 years experience for our new OB Hospitalist program. The OB Hospitalist will be responsible for: Management of labor up to and including delivery, as requested by generalist physicians Urgent postpartum care as requested by the assigned physician Providing back‑up and consultation for midwifery service Caring for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room Triage of all patients who present to the unit unless directly admitted When requested, assist in cesarean deliveries Communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults & actions when requested Level III maternity center Level III NICU 24hr dedicated OB anesthesia Rapidly growing suburban market with mostly private payer mix Carmel, Indiana, is located minutes north of Indianapolis and has been named one of the Best Places to Live in America by Money magazine. Call Schedule: dedicated on‑site call coverage with frequency and responsibilities as noted above. Projected 2000 deliveries/year. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
